Tia Featured in Prensa Hispana Article
Tia is proud to be featured on the front page of the local section of the April 13th issue of Phoenix’s Prensa Hispana. Tia founder, Laura Libman, was interviewed by reporter Maritza Lizeth Felix last week.
The well-written article (in Spanish) explains Tia’s unique program and urges readers to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with the many friends of Tia at Manny’s Mexican Restaurant’s big benefit bash on May 5th in Avondale.
The fact that Tia is a finalist for Secretary Clinton’s Innovation Award was also mentioned (keep your fingers crossed for us). We are honored to have such a prominent and beautifully written story in Prensa Hispana, a respected newspaper with a long history of diligently serving the Hispanic community.

Tia is planning a big party to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and share the rich culture of Mexico with our friends. The fiesta will include fabulous food, live bands, prizes and a guaranteed fun time! Plan to join us and meet Tia’s founder, Laura Libman, as well as staff, volunteers and friends of Tia.

You’re Invited to Our Volunteer Event!
Tia is holding a volunteer event on Saturday, March 26th from 8:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. at the Thunderbird campus. If you’d like to join us, please come with your laptop and meet us at the FISH, adjacent to the swimming pool. Click here for a campus map with the FISH circled in red. The Thunderbird campus is located on the corner of 59th Avenue and Greenway in Glendale, Arizona.
The event is being hosted by ThunderCares, an organization within Thunderbird dedicated to community service. ThunderCares will be providing breakfast, facilitation and 10-15 volunteers to Tia as well as volunteers for other community service projects.
Join us for a fun volunteer experience and make some new friends! And remember, bring your laptop!
