Our Founder, Laura Libman, is featured in this month’s Latina Magazine in a monthly column called, “Making Us Proud”, on page 38. Kathy McCraine, a seasoned photojournalist has followed Tia into the field in Mexico, accompanying our brigades on visits to our villages in Ojuelos de Jalisco and El Salvador, Jalisco. She pitched the story to Latina last Fall.
Kathy is a much sought after photographer and writer, who has regularly appeared in Western Horseman, Range, Arizona Highways, Ranch and Reata, and American Cowboy magazines. She has contributed to many books, including the recent book by Terry Greene Sterling, Illegal: Life and Death in Arizona’s Immigration War Zone. Kathy’s Cow Country Cooking won several awards, including the Will Rogers medallion. We are honored that Latina picked up Ms. McCraine’s brief, but well-crafted, piece.
