Girls whose mothers are Promotoras gain knowledge and skills which their moms share with them. Their daughters also witness first hand the increasing respect these women earn in the community.  Whether or not their mother is a Promotora (Community Health Worker), girls discover new role models among Tia’s Promotoras.  The rising tide raises all boats, so all the village girls and their mothers benefit from the added esteem that the Promotoras achieve.

Las Niñas Son las Más Beneficiadas

Las niñas, cuyas madres son Promotoras de Salud, (leer mas)obtienen conocimientos y habilidades que les son compartidas por sus madres. Las hijas también son testigos de primera mano del respeto que sus madres ganan en la comunidad. Ya sea que sus madres sean Trabajadoras de Salud en la Comunidad o no, las niñas encuentran modelos a seguir entre las Promotoras de Tía. Cuando sube la marea, ésta eleva a todas las embarcaciones, de tal forma que todas las niñas de la población y sus madres se benefician de la estima y respeto que las Promotoras adquieren.
