Always Improving

Tia’s model was designed to include measurement, monitoring and evaluation to enable continuous improvement and so we can verify with metrics that our programs really work.  On our last project, Dr. Roberto Martinez had a great idea!  Since many EMTs, representatives of Civil Protection, as well as local Fire and Police Departments attend our courses, Roberto thought we should do separate breakout classes just for them.

That particular group attends Tia’s courses hoping to refresh their skills since many of them already know  CPR and first aid.  Because we don’t have to start from the very beginning, Roberto created a class to teach them new skills, like performing a blood draw, which you see Dr. Cuahtemoc (above) guiding his students.  Our Promotores still learn from our world-class brigade, but now we are able to offer ambulance drivers, police officers and firefighters additional lifesaving training.
