Next Project: Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco!

volcan-y-ciudad-guzman

While some of us gear up for Thanksgiving, the people of the municipality of Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, will have a lot to be grateful for: access to healthcare.  We will be working in some of the villages on the edge of this municipality, far from the resources of the city of Ciudad Guzmán.  Our project launch is scheduled for the week of November 16th, the week prior to Thanksgiving in the U.S.  Keep checking back for pictures of our progress and like us on Facebook too, for up to the minute news!

Mixed Voces Interviews Tia’s Founder

Mixed Voces, a Spanish language newspaper, published an article on the Tia Foundation this week, written by editor in chief, Marco Arreortua.  The beautifully written piece includes a photo slide show from our most recent project in San Juan de los Lagos.  Check it out and use Google Translate (albeit an imperfect translation) if you don’t speak Spanish.  We are very grateful for the support and interest by our local Hispanic Community.  Click on the picture of their masthead to be taken to the article or cut and paste this link: http://mixedvoces.com/comunidad/ayuda-humanitaria-que-atraviesa-fronteras-31933#.VYMYjOznvBM.facebook
